These photographs were taken in 2005/6.The picture that linked to this page shows the rooftop terrasse and below it the arches of first floor sitting area outside the main bedroom.

The rooftop terrasse salon; this provides shady sitting out. It can also be used for additional sleeping for youngsters.

There is plenty of additional terrasse space for those who want to savour the full rays of the sun. There is a toilet and shower on the terrasse.

Fouzia is the magic ingredient of the riad. She is shown here standing at the barbecue on the terrasse.

She is the fulltime housekeeper for the riad.

She lives locally to the riad. Her native language is Arabic; she speaks good French and a little English.

This view taken from the rooftop shows the courtyard with the dining table and fountain.

The door at the top right of the courtyard leads to the ground floor toilet and shower. To its left is the door to the kitchen.

Above the courtyard can be seen the first floor verandah which leads to the 3 bedrooms.

The sitting room leads off the courtyard. It shows the classic shape of rooms in an old riad where the rooms are situated between very thick external walls and the internal courtyard.

This is the main bedroom. It has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath.

It has a sitting out area immediately outside the bedroom which leads off the verandah.

Like the other two bedrooms, it has a fan for use in warm weather and electric blanket and heater for cooler times.

This is the second bedroom which has an en-suite shower room.

This is the third bedroom. It does not have en-suite facilities but this is unlikely to be a problem with four showers and toilets in the riad.
